The Service Offers

  • An accredited mental health service for persons generally over 65 years within the Armadale, Gosnells and Jarrahdale-Serpentine areas.

  • Community assessments and treatment.

  • In-patient assessment and treatment at a modern, well-staffed 8 bed unit

  • Out patient clinical services

  • Consultation and liaison to general medical wards and aged care residential facilities

  • Specialised clinics for: anxiety management; bereavement; early memory problems and counselling for families and carers.

  • Community Mental Health Promotion and Education

The Service does not have programs for:-

  • Permanent residential care.

  • Temporary Respite

  • Relocation

  • Intellectual Impairment

  • Acquired Brain Injury

  • Drug, alcohol or substance abuse

  • Medico- Legal problems

Staff

Staff include a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals, including: Psychiatrists, Medical Officers, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Community Mental Health Nurses and Clinical Psychologists are available to assess your needs and provide services based on clinical assessments

Referrals

Referrals are accepted from a wide variety of sources, including medical practitioners, hospital and community agencies.  People may refer themselves or be referred through other family members

Visiting Hours Inpatient Unit

Visitors are advised to consult the Shift coordinator prior to visiting, as numbers of visitors may be capped, to ensure the safety and dignity of patients. Weekdays: - 3.00pm to 5.00pm and 6.00pm to 8.00pm  Weekends & Public Holidays - 9.30am to 11.30am, 2.00pm to 4.00pm and 6.00pm to 8.00pm
