Armadale Health Service - Community Advisory Council

The Community Advisory Council (CAC) was established in 1997 to ensure community consultation in the planning and redevelopment of the new Armadale Health Campus. The role of the CAC has evolved and is in keeping with the Armadale Health Service (AHS) strategic plan, which identifies the importance of a consumer focus throughout AHS.

The role of the CAC is to provide information and to enhance the patient care services provided by the health service.

  • The CAC is to advise the AHS Management Team, via the Executive Director, on:

  • The health service’s performance in terms of patient care indicators.

  • The health service’s patient care policies and procedures.

  • The adequacy of response mechanisms to complaints.

  • Appropriate mechanisms to ensure broad community consultation/participation.

  • The development of consumer evaluation/patient satisfaction surveys.

  • A consumer perspective on activities, initiatives and projects that impact on the users of the health service.
