Staff rally for heartfelt gift

July 24, 2015

Armadale Health Service (AHS) midwives recently raised more than $1,700 for Heartfelt – a not-for-profit organisation that provides photographic memories for families who have experienced a stillbirth.

AHS Perinatal Loss Coordinator Kristine Tetlaw said the loss of a child at birth is a difficult experience for any family, and photographs are often the only record of their baby.

“These images capture the precious memories of their loved one and can make a big difference to the bereavement process,” Kristine said.

“The midwifery team thought the free service provided by volunteer professional photographers at Heartfelt was invaluable and wanted to do something to ensure as many families as possible could access the unique service.”
