Older Adult Mental Health Service recognised

September 30, 2014

The Armadale Older Adult Mental Health Service (OAMHS) has been named as a finalist in the Improved Outcomes for Seniors category of this year’s Mental Health Good Outcomes Awards.

Armadale Mental Health Service Co-Director Monica Taylor said the nomination was acknowledgement of the team’s commitment in achieving positive outcomes for older people with mental health disorders, their families and carers.

“This recognises the team’s person-centred approach and their commitment to engage patients, their families and carers in treatment and care decisions,” Monica said.

Winners of the Mental Health Good Outcomes Awards, hosted by the Mental Health Commission, will be announced on World Mental Health Day - Tuesday 7 October 2014.
