New recliners add to comfort

May 29, 2015

Parents caring for sick children in Armadale Hospital’s paediatric ward will be a little more comfortable thanks to the Armadale Kelmscott Memorial Hospital (AKMH) Auxiliary’s generous donation of six new recliner chairs.

AKMH Head of Paediatrics Dr Colin Derrick said the recliners will greatly benefit breastfeeding mothers and parents who have to stay overnight at their child’s bedside.

“Having a sick child in hospital can be an anxious time for parents and carers and these recliners will certainly help make their time in hospital just a bit more comfortable,” Dr Derrick said.

“We thank the hospital Auxiliary for their generosity and support.”
