Lions clubs donate vital gift

June 13, 2014

A joint donation from the Lions Clubs of Armadale-Kelmscott and Serpentine-Jarrahdale has enabled the Armadale Health Service (AHS) to purchase a new vital signs monitor for its paediatric ward.

The child-friendly integrated equipment will enable nursing staff to accurately record a patient’s heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen levels.

AHS Head of Paediatrics Dr Colin Derrick thanked both Lions Clubs for their generosity and support of the hospital’s children’s ward.

“We are grateful that both clubs have chosen to support our work, which greatly assists us to continue providing quality care to children,” Dr Derrick said.
